ASR Trade Show Event - Party with a Purpose - 2006 San Diego Gigs to Watch

It's time to spread the wealth. This year's high profile companies and industry leaders will join forces with San Diego's most influential youth organization Soul Cause Youth Project. Soul Cause is throwing a "Party with a Purpose. ASR (Action Sports Retailers) and the companies who attend have been known for their parties in the past. The ASR trade show brings together the best of the surf industry, skate industry, snowbarding, motorcross and much more. ASR now joins forces with the Soul Cause Youth Project with a showing of support for the cause. 'ASR and the action sports industry prove that you can be profitable while being socially and environmentally responsible,' says Kevin Flanagan, ASR Show Director.

This unique music, art and social event will be much more then a one-night event. It will change the urban landscape and impact the youth market in a, powerful lasting and positive way, said Davia, the lead singer from Dakoda Motor Company. The sponsors of this event can have a positive impact on the young peoples lives and events like this can actually change the course of youth culture by raising the much needed funds to finish this amazing building project. Professional surfer, Brad Gerlach noted, "when great musicians, and and talented atheletes band together... things are going to happen."

The warehouse project event will be held in a warehouse that is in the process of being restored with a state-of-the-art multi-media teen center in the heart of downtown San Diego. Many of the volunteers for the event are from with in the industry including musicians, artists, athletes and entrepreneurs who are giving back to the youth with generous donations.

Funding or sponsorship of this event will go directly towards finishing the final phase of the warehouse project. Sponsorships and funds will help open the doors of this vital venue serving thousands of at-risk and under-privileged youth. Soul Cause non-profit is a recognized non-profit so sponsorship of this event is a tax deductible in most cases.

We have opened the doors for media outlets to attend with our friends from Sony documenting this year's event. Press releases will be sent to both print and live news stations.

Performing live International artist Jon Foremen of Switchfoot will hit the stage with an acoustic performance that is a rare and must see performance. Switchfoot has sold two platinum albums and sold over 300,000 albums. Celebrity and pro surfer Peter King will reunite his Band Dakoda Motor company with lead singer Davia to perform a one night only performance. other musicians, and celebrities TBA.

Soul Cause SponsorshipLimited sponsorship slots are available for this event.
